Demystifying QUIC from the Specifications

open access: yesCoRR
QUIC is an advanced transport layer protocol whose ubiquity on the Internet is now very apparent. Importantly, QUIC fuels the next generation of web browsing: HTTP/3. QUIC is a stateful and connection oriented protocol which offers similar features (and more) to the combination of TCP and TLS.

Pathological α-synuclein detected by real-time quaking-induced conversion in synucleinopathies

open access: yesExperimental Gerontology
synucleinopathies are diseases characterized by the aggregation of α-synuclein (α-syn), which forms fibrils through misfolding and accumulates in a prion-like manner.

Aqueous extraction of formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue and detection of prion disease using real-time quaking-induced conversion

open access: yesBMC Research Notes
Objective The goal of the research presented here is to determine if methods previously developed for the aqueous extraction of PrPSc from formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue (FFPET) are applicable to the detection PrPSc by real-time quaking induced ...
