Original quinazoline derivatives displaying antiplasmodial properties
European Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, 2010The multistep synthesis of new quinazoline-derived molecules and their in vitro antiplasmodial evaluation on the W2 chloroquino-resistant Plasmodium falciparum strain is described herein. These molecules have also been studied concerning their in vitro cytotoxicity toward two human cell lines (K652 and HepG2) in order to calculate their respective ...

Synthesis and bronchodilator activity of new quinazolin derivative
European Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, 2006Taking lead from a naturally occurring quinazolin vasicine, a number of compounds were developed and evaluated for bronchodilator and anti-allergic activities. One of these compounds was 2,4-diethoxy-6,7,8,9,10,12-hexahydroazepino[2,1-b]quinazolin-12-one, hereinafter named 95-4, exhibited marked bronchodilator activity evaluated on contracted trachea ...

Synthesis of Quinazoline Derivatives
Current Organic ChemistryEfficient synthesis of heterocyclic has always been a very important task in drug discovery. Most of the drugs contain heterocycles to provide an interface between chemistry and biology. Among the various heterocyclic compounds, quinazoline, a heterocyclic compound, offers multiple advantages like pyrimidine, pyridine, piperidine, imidazole ...

Determination of the Stabilities of New Quinazoline Derivatives by HPLC
Journal of Liquid Chromatography & Related Technologies, 2006Abstract The quinazoline derivatives reported in this work belong to a new group of compounds with a type of chemical bonding that has potential anticancer features. A biochemical study determining anticancer activity of quinazoline derivatives and N3‐quinazoline oxide will be conducted in the medium of 0.2% DMSO.

[Antitubercular derivatives of quinazoline].
Ceska a Slovenska farmacie : casopis Ceske farmaceuticke spolecnosti a Slovenske farmaceuticke spolecnosti, 2000The study is a review paper about the development of antituberculous substances in the group of quinazoline derivatives. Most antituberculous compounds under study contain the pertinent pharmacophores in the functional groups and their antituberculous activity cannot be considered to be specific for quinazolines.

Therapeutic reactivation of mutant p53 protein by quinazoline derivatives
Investigational New Drugs, 2011The human tumour suppressor protein p53 is mutated in nearly half of human tumours and most mutant proteins have single amino acid changes. Several drugs including the quinazoline derivative 1 (CP-31398) have been reported to restore p53 activity in mutant cells. The side chain of 1 contains a styryl linkage that compromises its stability and we wished

Synthesis and evaluation of quinazoline derivatives as phosphodiesterase 7 inhibitors
Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry, 2013The latest scientific findings concerning PDE7 and PDE4 inhibition suggest that selective small-molecule inhibitors of both enzymes could provide a novel approach to treat a variety of immunological diseases. In this context, we describe a new series of quinazoline derivatives from quinazolin-4-thiones which include a substituted biphenyl fragment ...

Synthesis of AX7593, a Quinazoline-Derived Photoaffinity Probe for EGFR
Organic Letters, 2004[structure: see text] The synthesis of a photoaffinity probe for EGFR is described. O-Alkylation of 4-(meta-azidoanilino)-6-methoxy-7-hydroxy-quinazoline with a protected tetraethyleneglycol linker followed by the attachment of tetramethylrhodamine yielded the fluorescent probe AX7593.

Synthesis and antihypertensive activity of some new quinazoline derivatives
Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, 1983A series of substituted 2-piperidino-4-amino-6,7-dimethoxyquinazolines was synthesized and screened as potential antihypertensive agents. The hypotensive effect of all the new compounds was studied after intravenous administrations in urethane-anesthetized normotensive rats.
