Determination of quinclorac and quinclorac methyl ester in honey by online SPE-UPLC-MS/MS
A method employing online solid phase extraction (SPE) coupled to UPLC-MS/MS was developed for the determination of residues of the acid herbicide quinclorac plus its transformation product, quinclorac methyl ester, in honey. The analytical method involved dissolving the honey in a mixture of methanol:water followed by direct injection into a two ...

Comparison of quintrione and quinclorac on mechanism of action
Pesticide Biochemistry and Physiology, 2022Quintrione is a new post-emergence herbicide developed for use in rice; however, the mechanism of action remains unclear. We determined the phytotoxicity of quintrione, and the contributions of hormone levels and lipid peroxidation to phytotoxicity, by comparing them to those induced by quinclorac.

Effects of Quinclorac on Following Rotational Crops
Quinclorac was registered for weed control in wheat (Triticumspp.) for western Canada in 1997. Residues from quinclorac may persist in the soil and may damage following crops; therefore, field and growth chamber experiments were conducted to determine the tolerance of several following rotational crops.

Effect of moisture on quinclorac dissipation in Lethbridge soil
This study examined the dissipation and carry-over of quinclorac residues in a Lethbridge sandy clay loam with 2% organic matter. Experiments were conducted in covered outdoor lysimeters using different simulated rainfall regimes. Quinclorac residues were monitored in the top 10 cm of soil using chemical residue analysis and the activity of carried ...

Sensitive fluorometric determination of quinclorac residues in rice
Food Additives and Contaminants - Part A Chemistry, Analysis, Control, Exposure and Risk Assessment, 2020Rice is one of the most important foods in the world due to its high nutritional value and production. Quinclorac, a selective herbicide, is one of the most detected pesticide residues in rice crops according to pesticide monitoring studies. Common methods for the determination of quinclorac in rice are very time-consuming and labour-intensive, so it ...

Uptake, Translocation, and Metabolism of Quinclorac in Two Grass Species
Research was conducted to determine the role of uptake, distribution, and metabolism of quinclorac in differential sensitivity of southern crabgrass and Kentucky bluegrass. At 0.5 h, quinclorac uptake was 85% in southern crabgrass and 66% in bluegrass. Uptake and distribution differed between species.

Nonlinear Regressions for Analyzing Growth Stage and Quinclorac Interactions
Control of southern crabgrass by quinclorac was influenced by plant growth stage. A three-parameter nonlinear regression was used to describe the influence of quinclorac concentration on each growth stage and to compare growth stages. A SAS® program for these comparisons is described. Pseudo R2values for fit were above 0.98 for all tests.
