Charge transfer tuning in TiO2 hybrid nanostructures with acceptor-acceptor systems
An interesting interplay between two different modifiers and the surface of titanium dioxide leads to a significant change in photoelectrochemical properties of the designed hybrid materials.

Total synthesis of aurofusarin: studies on the atropisomeric stability of bis-naphthoquinones [PDF]
An efficient annulation involving pyrone addition to a quinone and Dieckmann condensation was developed for rapid assembly of a γ-naphthopyrone monomeric precursor to the bis-naphthoquinone natural product aurofusarin.

An Edible H2O2 Biosensor for Gastrointestinal Metabolites and Peroxidase Enzyme Quantification
We present an edible biosensor for gastric fluid analysis that integrates a caffeic acid–horseradish peroxidase redox system into an edible electrolyte‐gated transistor. The device enables rapid, low‐volume detection of H2O2 and, with minimal modification, metabolites and enzyme activity in simulated gastrointestinal conditions.

Cytotoxic Compounds from Aloe megalacantha
Phytochemical investigation of the ethyl acetate extract of the roots of Aloe megalacantha led to the isolation of four new natural products—1,8-dimethoxynepodinol (1), aloesaponarin III (2), 10-O-methylchrysalodin (3) and methyl-26-O-feruloyl ...

Quinone and non-quinone redox couples in Complex III [PDF]
The Q cycle mechanism proposed by Peter Mitchell in the 1970's explicitly considered the modification of ubiquinone two-electron redox properties upon binding to Complex III to match the thermodynamics of the other single-electron redox cofactors in the complex, and guide electron transfer to support the generation of a proton electro-chemical gradient

Organocatalytic synthesis of axially chiral atropisomers [PDF]
This review summarises the recent progress made in the organocatalytic synthesis of atropisomeric compounds. Methodologies based on dynamic kinetic resolution and direct access to BINOL-like biaryls are described.

Metal‐free carbon catalysts enable the sustainable synthesis of hydrogen peroxide via two‐electron oxygen reduction; however, active site complexity continues to hinder reliable interpretation. This review critiques correlation‐based approaches and highlights the importance of orthogonal experimental designs, standardized catalyst passports ...

Synthesis of isopropyl-substituted anthraquinones via Friedel–Crafts acylations: migration of isopropyl groups [PDF]
Friedel–Crafts reactions of isopropyl-substituted benzenes with phthalic anhydride in the presence of aluminium trichloride, followed by cyclization of the products with strong sulfuric acid give, as expected, anthraquinones.
