Photochemical hydroxylation of quinoxalines
Recueil des Travaux Chimiques des Pays-Bas, 1976AbstractIrradiation of quinoxaline (1) in acidic aqueous solution under anaerobic conditions leads to the formation of 5‐hydroxyquinoxaline (4) and the 1,4‐dihydroquinoxaline radical cation (5). The radical cation (5) was characterized by ESR spectroscopy.Under aerobic conditions 5‐hydroxyquinoxaline (4) is the only irradiation product formed.

Macrocyclic cоmpounds are some of the most interesting objects in modern synthetic chemistry and, as shown in this critical review, they provide an attractive entry into quinoxaline derivatives, which are very important heterocycles from many points of view including medicinal and pharmaceutical chemistry and material sciences.

Synthesis of condensed quinoxalines
Journal of Heterocyclic Chemistry, 1991AbstractA novel efficient synthesis of fluorescent, fused quinoxalines was achieved. 6‐Triazolylthiazolo[4,5‐b]quinoxalines were synthesized by the diazotisation of 6‐amino‐2‐methylthiazolo[4,5‐b]quinoxaline and coupling with selected aromatic amines followed by air oxidation.

Polymers with quinoxaline units. V. Polymers with quinoxaline and dioxin units
Journal of Polymer Science Part A-1: Polymer Chemistry, 1969AbstractLadder or partly ladder polymers have been prepared by condensation of tetraphenols with tetrachloroquinoxaline compounds in melt, or in pyridine, naphthalene, and nitrobenzene reaction media. The polymers are dark‐colored, powdery materials with good thermal stability. Some of the samples are slightly soluble in sulfuric acid, while others are

Polymers with quinoxaline units. IV. Polymers with quinoxaline and oxazine units
Journal of Polymer Science Part A-1: Polymer Chemistry, 1968AbstractSix ladder or partly ladder polymers have been prepared by the condensation of diaminodiphenols with tetrachloro‐ or terahydroxyquinoxaline derivatives with the use of poly (phosphoric acid), pyridine, and naphthalene as reaction media. The polymers thus obtained are highly colored powdery materials which are slightly soluble in concentrated ...

Basicities of selected quinoxalines
Journal of Chemical & Engineering Data, 1982As part of a continuing investigation of the relationship between the structure and physical properties of nitrogen heterocyclic systems, we were interested in the basicities of selected quinoxalines and the hyperfine splitting patterns for the corresponding anion radicals.

The synthesis of quinoxalines has been intensively studied in the past, especially because of the diverse biological activities ascribed to many representatives of this class of compounds. Consequently, a large variety of synthetic methods for the synthesis of functionalized quinoxalines have been reported in literature.

Quinoxaline/phenylquinoxaline copolymers
Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 1977AbstractThe thermal crosslinkability of the quinoxaline moiety incorporated within poly(phenylquinoxalines) was demonstrated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), torsional braid analysis (TBA), and high‐temperature adhesive evaluation. Several homopolymers, random copolymers, and polymer blends were prepared and evaluated.
