Irradiation‐Resistant Heterostructures Based on Monolayer MoS2
Atomic vacancies can significantly affect monolayer molybdenum disulfide (1L‐MoS2) properties, but the effects of electron irradiation are still poorly understood. A significant resistance to 0.5 MeV electron irradiation was observed for 1L‐MoS2 exfoliated on gold or grown on SiO2.

Interference of Quorum Sensing by Delftia sp. VM4 Depends on the Activity of a Novel N-Acylhomoserine Lactone-Acylase. [PDF]
Turf soil bacterial isolate Delftia sp. VM4 can degrade exogenous N-acyl homoserine lactone (AHL), hence it effectively attenuates the virulence of bacterial soft rot pathogen Pectobacterium carotovorum subsp.

Pure PP and PP/MoO 3 filaments produced by melt spinning. ABSTRACT Polypropylene (PP) composite fibers containing 0.10, 0.20, and 0.50 wt% molybdenum oxide (MoO 3 ) nanoparticles were produced via melt spinning. In the present study, the effect of this addition on the mechanical, thermal, and chromic properties of the fibers was investigated.

Engineering Soluble Human Paraoxonase 2 for Quorum Quenching [PDF]
Many pathogenic bacteria utilize quorum sensing (QS) systems to regulate the expression of their virulence genes and promote the formation of biofilm, which renders pathogens with extreme resistance to conventional antibiotic treatments. As a novel approach for attenuating antibiotic resistance and in turn fighting chronic infections, enzymatic ...
