Kirigami‐Inspired Deployable Microneedle Robot With Enhanced Conformability for Targeted Oral Drug Delivery

We have engineered a kirigami‐inspired deployable microneedle robot (KiriBot) capable of remotely controlled attachment to target tissues for sustained drug release. KiriBot incorporates a flexible structure that enhances conformability, improves adherence to irregular tissues, and facilitates microneedle insertion.

Laser‐Synthesized Carbon‐Coated Elemental Bismuth Nanoparticles for Sustained Reactive Oxygen Species Generation Under Visible‐Light Irradiation

Femtosecond laser ablation of bismuth in acetone yields carbon‐coated nanoparticles with a metallic Bi0 core and an amorphous carbon shell. The core‐shell architecture preserves visible‐light‐driven redox activity and enables sustained hydroxyl‐radical generation.

This work developed a solvent‐free, room temperature–curable transparent coating. Featuring an ultrasmall nanocomposite network, it achieves robust liquid‐repellent and anti‐fingerprint properties with eco‐friendly and scalable potential for multifunctional protection.

Nonthermal plasma approaches for combating implant‐associated infections: A compendious review

Implant‐associated infections pose serious clinical challenges. Non‐thermal plasma (NTP) modifications overcome this bottleneck in distinct ways relative to traditional sterilization methods. Gas‐phase plasmas generate highly energetic species, UV radiation and reactive oxygen/nitrogen species (RONS), which alter the implant surface properties.
