Entropic Steering Criteria: Applications to Bipartite and Tripartite Systems
The effect of quantum steering describes a possible action at a distance via local measurements. Whereas many attempts on characterizing steerability have been pursued, answering the question as to whether a given state is steerable or not remains a ...

Generalizations of Fano's Inequality for Conditional Information Measures via Majorization Theory
Fano's inequality is one of the most elementary, ubiquitous, and important tools in information theory. Using majorization theory, Fano's inequality is generalized to a broad class of information measures, which contains those of Shannon and R\'{e}nyi ...

On Tight Tree‐Complete Hypergraph Ramsey Numbers
ABSTRACT Chvátal showed that for any tree T $T$ with k $k$ edges, the Ramsey number R ( T , n ) = k ( n − 1 ) + 1 $R(T,n)=k(n-1)+1$. For r = 3 $r=3$ or 4, we show that, if T $T$ is an r $r$‐uniform nontrivial tight tree, then the hypergraph Ramsey number R ( T , n ) = Θ ( n r − 1 ) $R(T,n)={\rm{\Theta }}({n}^{r-1})$.

Properties, Bounds, and Estimation of Rényi Entropy in Consecutive k-out-of-n:G Systems
This study investigates the Renyi entropy properties of consecutive k-out-of-n:G systems. Initially, a formula for the Renyi entropy of the lifetime of a consecutive k-out-of-n:G system is derived, offering a thorough insight into its Renyi entropy ...

Rényi entropy at large energy density in 2D CFT
We investigate the Rényi entropy and entanglement entropy of an interval with an arbitrary length in the canonical ensemble, microcanonical ensemble and primary excited states at large energy density in the thermodynamic limit of a two-dimensional large ...

Entropic trade-off relations for quantum operations
Spectral properties of an arbitrary matrix can be characterized by the entropy of its rescaled singular values. Any quantum operation can be described by the associated dynamical matrix or by the corresponding superoperator.

New Entropy Formula with Fluctuating Reservoir [PDF]
Finite heat reservoir capacity and temperature fluctuations lead to modification of the well known canonical exponential weight factor. Requiring that the corrections least depend on the one-particle energy, we derive a deformed entropy, K(S).

Logarithmic singularities of Renyi entropy as a sign of chaos?
We propose that the logarithmic singularities of the Renyi entropy of local-operator-excited states for replica index n can be a sign of quantum chaos.

Among various modifications of the permutation entropy defined as the Shannon entropy of the ordinal pattern distribution underlying a system, a variant based on Rényi entropies was considered in a few papers.
