Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Control of expression of the I factor, a LINE-like transposable element in Drosophila melanogaster [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
I factors are LINE-like transposable elements in the genome of Drosophila melanogaster. They normally transpose infrequently but are activated in the germline of female progeny of crosses between males of a strain that contains complete elements, an I or

El Giro de Lenin o el Factor-R de la Comunicación

open access: yesRevista Mad, 2012
La identidad puede ser modelada por el enfoque matemático cualitativo de Spencer-Brown, introduciendo la identidad como un tema acordado entre el observador de primer orden y de segundo orden durante una situación comunicativa.

Differential expression of cancer‐related genes supports prediction of poor response to first‐line treatments in T‐ALL pediatric patients with high minimal residual disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the present work, we have identified a transcriptional signature based on the differential expression of six genes (BCL2&MAST4, HSH2D&LAT2, METRN&PITPNM2) that would facilitate the early detection of T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) patients prone to a poor treatment response and could be implemented at diagnosis, along with other risk ...

Specialization, Factor Accumulation and Development [PDF]

open access: yes
The Heckscher-Ohlin theory links specialization of production to relative factor endowments. Endowments are the result of accumulation in response to economic in-centives. Taking this into account allows us to reconcile wildly di¤erent predictions in the

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Validation of an instrument for understanding school absence: the Swedish version of the adapted school refusal assessment scale-revised

open access: yesBMC Psychology
Background The School Refusal Assessment Scale-Revised (SRAS-R) is a widely used measure to understand school attendance problems. However, previous evaluations have yielded inconsistent findings on the factor structure.
