This study investigated the combustion characteristics of mixtures of the environmentally friendly flame retardant HFO‐1225zc with three combustible working fluids (HFO‐1234yf, HFC‐32, and HFO‐1243zf). The flame retardant efficacy of HFO‐1225zc on three working fluids decreases in the order: HFO‐1234yf, HFC‐32, HFO‐UFL1243zf. ABSTRACT The environmental

Thermal design and CFD simulation of an internal heat exchanger with R1234yf as an alternate refrige
The most widely utilized refrigerant in car air conditioners today is still R134a, particularly in developing nations, but its global warming potential is very high (1430).

ABSTRACT Compact plate‐fin heat exchangers (PFHEs) are commonly utilized in diverse industries, including aerospace, automotive, processing, and space. Various fin configurations, such as Plain fins, Wavy fins, Lance and Offset fins (OSFs), Perforated fins, louvered fins, and pin fins, are employed in compact heat exchangers (CHEs).

R134a flow patterns in small-diameter tubes
R134a vapour-liquid two-phase flow patterns were studied in vertical small-diameter tubes. The observed flow patterns include bubbly, dispersed bubble, slug, churn, annular, and mist flow. Six integrated flow pattern maps, derived for two internal diameters (2.01 and 4.26 mm) and three different pressures (6.0, 10.0, 14.0 bar), are presented.

Simulation study on performance of a dual-source hybrid heat pump unit with alternative refrigerants
To solve the problems of single heat source heat pump systems in severe cold regions, a dual-source hybrid heat pump unit (DSHHPU) is proposed. The mathematical models of the DSHHPU when charging R134a or its alternative refrigerants R32, R290 and R600a ...
