Molecular weight, amino acid composition and physicochemical properties of the exocellular
The exocellular dd-carboxypeptidase–transpeptidase from Streptomyces R39 was purified to protein homogeneity and in milligram amounts. The isolated enzyme consisted of one polypeptide chain of molecular weight about 53300. Its amino acid composition and several physicochemical properties were determined and compared with those of the exo-cellular dd ...

Co-Integration Test of Selected Indexes on the Share Market and Index of Housing Real Estate Prices
The integration of financial markets is an ongoing process throughout the world. Research shows that, from Australia through Europe to the United States, the capital and real estate markets are integrating, influencing each other.

Constraints on Baryon-Nonconserving Yukawa Couplings in a Supersymmetric Theory [PDF]
The 1-loop evolution of couplings in the minimal supersymmetric standard model, extended to include baryon nonconserving $(B\!\!\!/)$ operators through explicit $R$-parity violation, is considered keeping only $B\!\!\!/$ superpotential terms involving ...

Over a Million Student Tenants in Poland. Analysis of Preferences
Students as property tenants are an underestimated and understudied aspect of the market. To date, there has been a widely held opinion that student decisions in the property market and their scope are mostly limited to the area of academic centres.

Interaction of β-iodopenicillanate with the β-lactamases of Streptomyces albus G and Actinomadura R39 [PDF]
The beta-lactamases of Streptomyces albus G and Actinomadura R39 are inactivated by beta-iodopenicillanate. However, in contrast with the beta-lactamase I from Bacillus cereus, they also efficiently catalyse the hydrolysis of the inactivator; with the S. albus G enzyme, kcat.

Cloning and amplified expression in Streptomyces lividans of the gene encoding the extracellular β-lactamase of Actinomadura R39 [PDF]
By using the promoter-probe plasmid pIJ424, genomic DNA fragments of Actinomadura R39 were shown to have promoter activity in Streptomyces lividans. The same 100-200-copy-number plasmid was used to clone in S. lividans TK24, the gene that encodes the Actinomadura R39 beta-lactamase. Gene cloning resulted in an amplified expression of the beta-lactamase

ABSTRACT Bycatch remains a critical challenge in global fisheries, even when using selective gears such as longlines. In the French longline fishery targeting Atlantic bluefin tuna (Thunnus thynnus) in the Gulf of Lion, the common pelagic stingray (Pteroplatytrygon violacea) is the primary bycatch species.
