ABSTRACT Nitrogen and sulfur mustards, often acting as vesicants, have significant consequences for public health. Skin is a common site for exposure to these vesicants that can result in considerable morbidity and mortality. Given that the treatment options are limited, new insights into the mechanisms for the toxicity of these vesicants that can be ...

Role of NRP1/HDAC4/CREB/RIPK1 Axis in SARS‐CoV2 S1 Spike Subunit‐Induced Neuronal Toxicity
Extracellular SARS‐CoV2 Spike‐S1 protein via NRP1 internalizes in the cytosol of SH‐SY5Y cells. Once inside, it upregulates the epigenetic eraser HDAC4, which binds transcriptional factor CREB, causes RIPK1 up‐regulation, and therefore necroptotic cell death.

Torque teno virus as a marker of immune status in immunocompromised patients: A systematic review
Abstract Background Torque teno virus (TTV) is not known to cause disease in humans; however, chronic inflammatory conditions and immunosuppression states can favour TTV replication. This study aimed to verify the effectiveness of TTV as an immune biomarker.

Kindlin‐2 Deletion in Mural Cells Leads to Vascular Instability
Kindlin‐2 in vSMCs and pericytes facilitates activation of β1‐ and β3‐integrin receptors and thereby promotes integrin‐mediated adhesion, contractile phenotype, and survival, which are crucial to their coverage of blood vessels and vascular stabilization.
