Effects of Radar Interference on Search Radar Operator Performance

1977 IEEE International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility, 1977
The paper describes results of a study whose primary objective was to estimate a level (or levels) of radar-caused interference whose presence would not significantly affect the performance of search-radar operators, using plan-position indicator (PPI) displays.

Catecholamine correlates of radar monitoring performance

Biological Psychology, 1976
Two experiments were concluded in which target detection performance was measured for male and female subjects engaged in a simulated radar monitoring task. In the first, 20 subjects performed for 2 h; in the second, 28 subjects for 1 h. Adrenaline excretion rate was significantly correlated with performance efficiency in both cases.

Magellan: Radar Performance and Data Products

Science, 1991
The Magellan Venus orbiter carries only one scientific instrument: a 12.6-centimeter wavelength radar system shared among three data-taking modes. The synthetic-aperture mode images radar echoes from the Venus surface at a resolution of between 120 and 300 meters, depending on spacecraft altitude.

Performance of OTH radar array calibration

Proceedings of the 1998 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing, ICASSP '98 (Cat. No.98CH36181), 2002
Array calibration algorithms for over-the-horizon (OTH) radar arrays have been proposed in the literature. These algorithms perform array calibration by using echoes from ionised meteor trails, and estimate sensor position errors and mutual coupling. We derive the Cramer-Rao performance bound for this array calibration problem and then investigate the ...
