Apolipoprotein C-II deficiency: detection of immunoreactive apolipoprotein C-II in the intestinal mucosa of two patients

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1988
Recent data suggest that mutant immunoreactive forms of apolipoprotein C-II (apoC-II) can be detected in the plasma of patients with the apoC-II deficiency syndrome.

Immunochemical Quantitation of Pig Transferrin by Single Radial Immunodiffusion

open access: yesActa Veterinaria Scandinavica, 1975
A system has been developed for immunochemical determination of pig transferrin. Direct comparison of immunological values with chemical values showed that monovalent rabbit anti-pig serum transferrin is suitable for the immunological estimation of iron binding protein in swine.

Comparison between radial immunodiffusion and flow cytometry techniques for detecting antiplatelet antibodies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
The aim of our work was to compare radial immunodiffusion (RI) (in use for years) versus flow cytometry (FC) (a new technique). The discrepancies of the results in our patient population indicate that both techniques are valuable tools to understand the ...

Newborn splenic volumes vary under different malaria endemic conditions

open access: yes, 1989
Ultrasound was used to measure newborn splenic dimensions and calculate the volumes in a malarious and a non-malarious region of Papua New Guinea. The median splenic volume of infants born in Madang, where malaria transmission is high throughout the year,

Immunity transfer in mule foals fed with good IgG quality colostrum

open access: yesHeliyon
While the passive transfer of immunity in horse and donkey foals has been extensively studied, there is limited information for mule foals. Immunoglobulin type G (IgG) and serum total protein concentration (TP) were assessed at different sampling times ...
