Plasmonic antennas based on rectangular graphene nanoribbons with controlled polarization of terahertz and infrared radiation

open access: yesФизика волновых процессов и радиотехнические системы
Background. To develop new terahertz wireless communication systems with high throughput and transmission speeds, such as 6G and above, effective control of the polarization direction of emitted terahertz waves is necessary, but most methods are ...

Small Size Wideband Monopole Antenna with Five Notch Bands for Different Wireless Applications [PDF]

open access: yesRadioengineering, 2022
A broadband planar monopole antenna with five notch bands is proposed here. The antenna provides broadband from 1.94 GHz to 15.4 GHz with five notch bands covering 3.1-4.1 GHz, 6-6.4 GHz, 8.2-9.2 GHz, 10-11.6 GHz, and 12.38-12.89 GHz.

Acoustic radiation from the end of two-dimensional duct, effects of uniform flow and duct lining [PDF]

open access: yes, 1973
A study is presented of the radiation of acoustic modes from the end of a duct immersed in a uniformly moving medium. It is shown that the uniform flow has roughly the same effect as an increase in frequency at constant mode number: the number of lobes ...

Thermal radiation as a probe of one-dimensional electron liquids

open access: yes, 2018
Motivated by recent developments in the field of plasmonics, we develop the theory of radiation from one-dimensional electron liquids, showing that the spectrum of thermal radiation emitted from the system exhibits signatures of non-Fermi liquid behavior.

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Anomaly and Hawking radiation from regular black holes

open access: yes, 2008
We consider the Hawking radiation from two regular black holes, the minimal model and the noncommutative black hole. The flux of Hawking radiation is derived by applying the anomaly cancellation method proposed by Robinson and Wilczek.

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

A Novel Wideband Magneto-Electric Dipole Antenna with Improved Feeding Structure

open access: yesAdvanced Electromagnetics, 2016
A novel feeding structure in magneto-electric dipole antenna is proposed and analyzed, which is simpler and better in performance than previous designs, involving differential feeding.

Far-field radiation of aft turbofan noise [PDF]

open access: yes
Approximate expressions were developed for the noise radiation from the aft duct. The results of approximate aft radiation equation compare favorably to more exact Wiener-Hopf radiation results.
