Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Discrete vs continuum level simulation of radiative transfer in semitransparent two-phase media [PDF]

open access: yes
The mathematical formulation of the continuum approach to radiative transfer modeling in two-phase semi-transparent media is numerically validated by comparing radiative fluxes computed by (i) direct, discrete-scale and (ii) continuum-scale approaches ...

Combination of DOM with LES in a gas turbine combustor [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
A three-dimensional numerical study is conducted to investigate the radiative heat transfer in a model gas turbine combustor. The Discrete Ordinates Method (DOM/Sn) has been implemented to solve the filtered Radiative Transfer Equation (RTE) for the ...

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

ARTS, the atmospheric radiative transfer simulator, version 2

open access: yes, 2011
The second version of the atmospheric radiative transfer simulator, ARTS, is introduced. This is a general software package for long wavelength radiative transfer simulations, with a focus on passive microwave observations.

A Unifying Polarization Formalism for Electric and Magnetic Multipole Interactions

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
We extend the spherical tensorial formalism for polarization to the treatment of electric and magnetic multipole transitions of any order. We rely on the spherical-wave expansion to derive the tensor form of the operator describing the interaction of the

Element different method for three-dimensional radiative transfer within heterogeneous media

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2023
The ability to accurately determine three-dimensional radiative intensity with high spatial and angular resolution is crucial for the diagnosis of radiative combustion.

A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Continuum radiative heat transfer modeling in media consisting of optically distinct components in the limit of geometrical optics [PDF]

open access: yes
Continuum-scale equations of radiative transfer and corresponding boundary conditions are derived for a general case of a multi-component medium consisting of arbitrary-type, non-isothermal and non-uniform components in the limit of geometrical optics ...

Radiative transfer in silylidene molecule [PDF]

open access: yesSerbian Astronomical Journal, 2014
In order to search for silylidene (H2CSi) in the interstellar medium, Izuha et al. (1996) recorded microwave spectrum of H2CSi in laboratory and made an unsuccessful attempt of its identification in IRC +10216, Ori KL, Sgr B2, through its 717-616 ...
