Abstract Drawing on Sara Ahmed's concept of killjoy activism, I explore how Antje Rávik Strubel's Blaue Frau employs a killjoy poetics that refuses to brush over violence, asymmetry, injury and force. What's new? Following the Chernobyl disaster, workers were recruited from formerly Soviet‐occupied areas, including Lithuania, to participate in clean‐up efforts. Radiation exposure incurred by workers during these efforts offers a unique opportunity for the study of long‐term health effects.

Modulation of Tau Protein Neurotoxic Hallmarks by Novel σ1R Agonists/HDAC Inhibitor Dual‐Acting Compounds

This study explores the development of dual‐acting compounds combining σ1R agonists and histone deacetylase inhibitors (HDACi). Key findings include compound 2d and 3a's high affinity for σ1R and favorable pharmacokinetic profile and an in vivo determined σ1R agonist profile by reversing the effect of the σ1R antagonist BD‐1063.
