Radiochemical purity control of radiolabeled drugs

open access: yesThe International Journal of Applied Radiation and Isotopes, 1982
The risk of using only TLC in the radiochemical purity analysis of a radiolabeled drug is shown on the example of butoprozine. The combination of TLC and HPLC gives much better certainty. In case of impurities, HPLC can be used for purification.

Visualization and Quantification of Radiochemical Purity by Cerenkov Luminescence Imaging

open access: yesAnalytical Chemistry, 2018
Determination of radiochemical purity is essential for characterization of all radioactive compounds, including clinical radiopharmaceuticals. Radio-thin layer chromatography (radio-TLC) has been used as the gold standard for measurement of radiochemical purity; however, this method has several limitations in terms of sensitivity, spatial resolution ...

Chromatographic determination of radiochemical purity

Nuklearmedizin - NuclearMedicine, 2010
SummaryThin layer chromatography is well established for quality control of radiopharmaceuticals. A convenient and widely used stationary phase are ITLC SG strips. However, the Pall Corporation stopped manufacturing of the silica gel impregnated glass fibre strips (ITLC SG).

Maintaining radiochemical purity of [177Lu]Lu-DOTA-PSMA-617 for PRRT by reducing radiolysis [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Radioanalytical and Nuclear Chemistry, 2019
[177Lu]Lu-DOTA-PSMA-617 for PRRT is subject to radiolysis and therefore loses receptor affinity. This will be detrimental for treatment efficacy. In this study optimal quencher(s) (combinations) are determined to maintain radiochemical purity with a ...
