Radioimmunoassay of ursodeoxycholic acid in serum.

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1978
A sensitivie and specific radioimmunoassay for the measurement of serum ursodeoxycholic acid has been developed. Ursodeoxycholic acid bound to bovine serum albumin was used as an antigen, and antiserum to this antigen was raised in the rabbit.

Is Early Life Adversity Associated With Adult Stress in a Wild Rodent?

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 15, Issue 4, April 2025.
Using a cumulative adversity index, we found that adult glucocorticoid levels in wild yellow‐bellied marmots vary with the number of early adverse experiences, but their relationship is dependent on elevation. Under more relaxed environmental conditions, at lower elevations, glucocorticoids decrease with increasing adversities, while there is a slight ...

Commonalities of platelet dysfunction in heart failure with preserved ejection fraction and underlying comorbidities

open access: yesESC Heart Failure, Volume 12, Issue 2, Page 1013-1028, April 2025.
Abstract Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) is characterized by a lack of a specific targeted treatment and a complex, partially unexplored pathophysiology. Common comorbidities associated with HFpEF are hypertension, atrial fibrillation, obesity and diabetes.

Radioimmunoassay of human plasma Lp(a) lipoprotein

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1977
A quantitative immunodiffusion assay demonstrated Lp(a) lipoprotein in 91% (911 of 1000) of subjects. In order to quantitate Lp(a) in all plasma, a sensitive and specific double antibody radioimmunoassay was developed.

Current Advancements in Serum Protein Biomarkers for Hepatitis B Virus‐Associated Hepatocyte Remodeling and Hepatocellular Carcinoma

open access: yesImmunity, Inflammation and Disease, Volume 13, Issue 4, April 2025.
ABSTRACT Background Hepatitis B virus (HBV)‐related liver cancer is the third most common cause of cancer‐related death globally. Hepatocyte remodeling, also known as hepatocyte transformation and immortalization, and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), are brought on by persistent inflammation caused by HBV in the host hepatocytes.

Recharacterization data for a geriatric gastrin polycolonal antibody

open access: yesData in Brief, 2019
Radioimmunoassay data on the recharacterization of a gastrin polycolonal antibody first generated in 1973 is presented. The data include specificity, effect of matrix, and the establishment of a reference range for circulating fasting gastrin ...
