Treatment of polycythaemia vera by radiophosphorus or busulphan: a randomized trial. "Leukemia and Hematosarcoma" Cooperative Group, European Organization for Research on Treatment of Cancer (E.O.R.T.C.). [PDF]
Between 1967 and 1978 a Phase III cooperative study was performed in polycythaemia vera (PCV) patients who had not been treated previously with any specific therapy other than phlebotomy.

Bacillus subtilis Spores labelled with Radiophosphorus [PDF]
SUMMARY: Bacillus subtilis was grown in surface culture on media containing about 0.6 mC./ml. of 32P as phosphate, and harvested after 2 days. The spore suspension was heated at 60° for 1 1/2 hr. and washed by centrifuging and resuspending in water six times. The fresh suspension contained about 2 x 109 spores/ml., of which 20 % were viable.

The CYTO-PV: A Large-Scale Trial Testing the Intensity of CYTOreductive Therapy to Prevent Cardiovascular Events in Patients with Polycythemia Vera. [PDF]
Polycythemia vera (PV) is a chronic myeloproliferative disorder whose major morbidity and mortality are thrombohaemorragic events. Current guidelines advise maintaining hematocrit (HCT) level below 45% in males and 42% in females. Such targets lean on pathophysiological reasoning, while evidence from ECLAP and PVSG‐01, the two largest prospective ...

Thyroidal Control of Radiophosphorus Metabolism in Salmon [PDF]
THE part played by the thyroid gland in teleost metabolism has been investigated by many workers. In cold-blooded vertebrates it appears to be concerned more with growth than with general metabolism1. However, there is a great deal of controversy on practically every aspect of thyroid physiology.
