Dynamical Properties of Random Field Ising Model
Extensive Monte Carlo simulations are performed on a two-dimensional random field Ising model. The purpose of the present work is to study the disorder-induced changes in the properties of disordered spin systems. The time evolution of the domain growth,

The LINC01116 long noncoding RNA is induced by hypoxia and associated with poor prognosis and high recurrence rates in two cohorts of lung adenocarcinoma patients. Here, we demonstrate that besides its expression in cancer cells, LINC01116 is markedly expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells of the tumor stroma in which it participates in hypoxia ...

OPTIMAL RANDOM SAMPLING DESIGNS IN RANDOM FIELD SAMPLING [PDF]
A Horvitz-Thompson predictor is proposed for spatial sampling when the characteristic of interest is modeled as a random field. Optimal sampling designs are deduced under this context. Fixed and variable sample size are considered.

The random-field specific heat critical behavior at high magnetic concentration: Fe(0.93)Zn(0.07)F2
The specific heat critical behavior is measured and analyzed for a single crystal of the random-field Ising system Fe(0.93)Zn(0.07)F2 using pulsed heat and optical birefringence techniques.

Critical behavior of colloid-polymer mixtures in random porous media
We show that the critical behavior of a colloid-polymer mixture inside a random porous matrix of quenched hard spheres belongs to the universality class of the random-field Ising model.

Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

Random Field and Random Anisotropy Effects in Defect-Free Three-Dimensional XY Models
Monte Carlo simulations have been used to study a vortex-free XY ferromagnet with a random field or a random anisotropy on simple cubic lattices. In the random field case, which can be related to a charge-density wave pinned by random point defects, it ...
