LEAD: Literature Enhanced Ab Initio Discovery of Nitride Dusting Layers for Enhanced Tunnel Magnetoresistance and Lower Resistance Magnetic Tunnel Junctions

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJs) using MgO tunnel barriers face challenges of high resistance‐area product and low tunnel magnetoresistance (TMR). To discover alternative materials, Literature Enhanced Ab initio Discovery (LEAD) is developed. The LEAD‐predicted materials are theoretically evaluated, showing that MTJs with dusting of ScN or TiN on ...

A random finite set conjugate prior and application to multi-target tracking

open access: yes, 2011
The objective of multi-object estimation is to simultaneously estimate the number of objects and their states from a set of observations in the presence of data association uncertainty, detection uncertainty, false observations and noise. This estimation

Room‐Temperature Skyrmionic Synapse in 2D Ferromagnet Fe3GaTe2 Operating via Collective Spin Texture Transformation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We demonstrate a neuromorphic synapse in 2D Fe3GaTe2 flakes. The device operates via a current‐driven transformation from a skyrmion‐lattice to a stripe‐domain state, yielding a linear anomalous Hall resistance response with a tunable slope to enable multiply‐accumulate operations. Simulations confirm its viability in artificial neural networks.

Actuation of Cell Layers in Three Dimensions

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The alignment of fibers and cells in living tissues affect their mechanical properties and functionality. In this context, one can draw an analogy between tissues and nematic liquid crystal elastomers. We explore this analogy by growing fibroblasts on 2D‐patterned substrates and observing the contraction of cell sheets upon detachment from the

Receding Horizon Estimation for Multi-Target Tracking via Random Finite Set Approach

open access: yes, 2018
© 2018 ISIF This paper proposes a robust multi-target tracking algorithm for uncertainty in dynamic motion modeling. To address this issue, the multi-target tracking problem is formulated under random finite set (RFS) framework with finite length memory ...

Ferroelectric Dynamic‐Field‐Driven Nucleation and Growth Model for Predictive Materials‐To‐Circuit Co‐Design

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a compact dynamic‐field‐driven nucleation and growth (DFNG) model that captures ferroelectric switching behavior under arbitrary voltage waveforms. It enables extraction of time‐dependent domain wall velocity and growth dimensionality, which can then be extended to device‐level modeling.

Heterogeneous Multi-sensor Fusion with Random Finite Set Multi-object Densities

open access: yes, 2022
This paper addresses the density based multi-sensor cooperative fusion using random finite set (RFS) type multi-object densities (MODs). Existing fusion methods use scalar weights to characterize the relative information confidence among the local MODs ...

Bias‐Field Free Single‐Frequency CW‐ODMR of Nitrogen‐Vacancy Centers in Diamond for the Detection of Transient Electrical Signals

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Simplified quantum sensing technique for the detection of short electrical signals occurring in neuronal signaling or bioinspired technologies. We demonstrate a single frequency continuous‐wave optically detected magnetic resonance (CW‐ODMR) approach to sense signals that can be as short as 0.2 ms.

Random Finite Set Methods for Multitarget Tracking [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Multiple target tracking (MTT) is a major area that occurs in a variety of real world systems. The problem involves the detection and estimation of an unknown number of targets within a scenario space given a sequence of noisy, incomplete measurements ...

A random finite set approach for dynamic occupancy grid maps

open access: yes, 2017
Reliable vehicle environment perception is a basic prerequisite for advanced driver assistant systems and autonomously driving cars. A common environment representation form is an occupancy grid map.
