Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

RPSLearner: A Novel Approach Based on Random Projection and Deep Stacking Learning for Categorizing Non‐Small Cell Lung Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems
Non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) comprises the largest subtype of lung cancer with the most cases. Lung adenocarcinoma and lung squamous cell carcinoma are two NSCLC subtypes that pose challenges for accurate diagnosis using conventional methods ...

Vector Median Filtering Algorithm of Random Projection Depth Sorting [PDF]

open access: yesJisuanji gongcheng, 2016
Aiming at the fuzzy distance definition of the classical Vector Median Filtering(VMF) algorithm,a new vector median filtering algorithm based on random projection depth sorting is proposed. The algorithm uses the sorting method of center outward. The ...

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

Fingerprint template protection by adopting random projection based on re-encryption

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2018
In random projection (RP) based biometric template protection methods, the generated template and key are vulnerable to attacks, which may cause the leakage of users’ privacy. To solve this problem,an improved RP-based fingerprint template protection method

USP29‐regulated noncanonical stabilization of the hypoxia‐inducible factor‐α in aggressive prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

Epigenetic silencing of the liver‐specific lncRNA LUNAR promotes liver cancer progression via NOTCH activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
LUNAR is a liver‐specific long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) that is highly expressed in normal liver but becomes epigenetically silenced in hepatocellular carcinoma through promoter hypermethylation. Loss of LUNAR is associated with NOTCH activation, epithelial–mesenchymal transition, and metastasis, whereas restoring LUNAR restrains metastatic progression ...

Single‐cell DNA methylation profiling: Technologies, computation, and applications in precision oncology

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell DNA methylation (scDNAme) profiling maps epimutational clonal evolution, revealing mechanisms of malignancy and therapeutic resistance across diverse cancer types. By providing a high‐resolution landscape of intratumoral heterogeneity, these technologies empower precise patient stratification, guide the development of enhanced ...
