Ubiquitination of secretory granules promotes their crinophagic degradation in Drosophila
Ubiquitination of secretory granules in Drosophila larval salivary glands is a critical molecular trigger for crinophagy, the lysosomal degradation of unreleased, or low‐quality granules. The E3 ubiquitin ligase Cnot4 is recruited to the surface of secretory granules to induce crinophagy.

Surface Roughness Prediction in Grinding: a Probabilistic Approach
Surface quality of machined components is one of the most important criteria for the assessment of grinding processes. The importance of surface finish of a product depends upon its functional requirements.

Universality for Random Surfaces in Unconstrained Genus [PDF]
Starting from an arbitrary sequence of polygons whose total perimeter is $2n$, we can build an (oriented) surface by pairing their sides in a uniform fashion. Chmutov & Pittel have shown that, regardless of the configuration of polygons we started with, the degree sequence of the graph obtained this way is remarkably constant in total variation ...

Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

New surface plasmon polariton waveguide based on GaN nanowires
Lasers are nowadays widely used in industry, in hospitals and in many devices that we have at home. Random laser development is challenging given its high threshold and low integration.

Frictional Characteristic Curves of Ground Surfaces in Lubricated Sliding
The key objective of the presented study was to use a commercially feasible and scalable approach to modifying surfaces to reduce friction. In an industrial setting, surface grinding is commercially viable and scalable as compared to other surface ...

Percolation of Lipschitz Surface and Tight Bounds on the Spread of Information Among Mobile Agents [PDF]
We consider the problem of spread of information among mobile agents on the torus. The agents are initially distributed as a Poisson point process on the torus, and move as independent simple random walks.

Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...
