Estimation of finite population variance under post-stratified randomized response technique
Stratified sampling is commonly employed to enhance the precision of the estimators by ensuring adequate representation from each stratum. However, constructing a sampling frame may be impractical or infeasible due to the complex and heterogenous ...

Targeted genome-wide enrichment of functional regions.
Only a small fraction of large genomes such as that of the human contains the functional regions such as the exons, promoters, and polyA sites. A platform technique for selective enrichment of functional genomic regions will enable several next ...

Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

A novel randomized scrambling technique for mean estimation of a finite population
In recent decades, the randomized response technique has attracted researchers due to its usefulness in sensitive surveys. The randomized response procedure is used for the collection of responses on sensitive issues such as cheating in examination ...

Many patients with urothelial cancer do not benefit from treatment with pembrolizumab, while at risk of severe side effects. Changes in the levels of circulating tumor DNA early during treatment, measured by a simple and affordable assay that can be easily implemented in the clinic, can be used as a prognostic tool to identify these patients.

The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Tumor B‐cell infiltration in platinum‐treated advanced muscle‐invasive urothelial carcinoma
Bladder tumors with higher pretreatment memory B‐cell infiltration were linked to longer survival after cisplatin chemotherapy, but not carboplatin. These tumors also showed more organized immune structures (tertiary lymphoid structures) and a shared pro‐inflammatory B‐cell‐rich community, suggesting that memory B cells may help identify patients most ...

Improving a novel quantitative randomized response method using auxiliary variable information
In the majority of sample surveys, the variable of interest might have sensitive characteristics. Since we frequently get unrealistic responses from respondents during interviews as employing the direct method is not seen logical in these situations.

Context: Pain is a universal phenomenon. It is considered to be the “fifth vital sign.” Pain originating from intramuscular (IM) injection should not be underestimated, because a painful injection might incite severe fear of injection, which may delay ...
