Exact Local Whittle Estimation of Fractional Integration [PDF]

open access: yes
An exact form of the local Whittle likelihood is studied with the intent of developing a general purpose estimation procedure for the memory parameter (d) that applies throughout the stationary and nonstationary regions of d and which does not rely on ...

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

Estimation of the long memory parameter in non stationary models: A Simulation Study [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper we perform a Monte Carlo study based on three well-known semiparametric estimates for the long memory fractional parameter. We study the efficiency of Geweke and Porter-Hudak, Gaussian semiparametric and wavelet Ordinary Least-Square ...

Longitudinal genome‐wide aneuploidy measurements in circulating cell‐free DNA to predict lack of benefit from pembrolizumab in patients with metastatic urothelial cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Many patients with urothelial cancer do not benefit from treatment with pembrolizumab, while at risk of severe side effects. Changes in the levels of circulating tumor DNA early during treatment, measured by a simple and affordable assay that can be easily implemented in the clinic, can be used as a prognostic tool to identify these patients.

A high resolution full-field range imaging system for robotic devices

open access: yes, 2005
There has been considerable effort by many researchers to develop a high resolution full-field range imaging system. Traditionally these systems rely on a homodyne technique that modulates the illumination source and shutter speed at some high frequency.

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Stereoscopic high dynamic range imaging [PDF]

open access: yes
Two modern technologies show promise to dramatically increase immersion in virtual environments. Stereoscopic imaging captures two images representing the views of both eyes and allows for better depth perception.

WQuatNet: Wide range quaternion-based head pose estimation

open access: yesJournal of King Saud University: Computer and Information Sciences
Head pose estimation (HPE) is a critical task for numerous applications ranging from human-computer interaction, healthcare, and robotics, to surveillance. Most existing methods employ Euler angles as a representation, which often face challenges such as

Tumor B‐cell infiltration in platinum‐treated advanced muscle‐invasive urothelial carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Bladder tumors with higher pretreatment memory B‐cell infiltration were linked to longer survival after cisplatin chemotherapy, but not carboplatin. These tumors also showed more organized immune structures (tertiary lymphoid structures) and a shared pro‐inflammatory B‐cell‐rich community, suggesting that memory B cells may help identify patients most ...

Kinetic modeling of enzymatic cephalexin synthesis with neural ODEs and surrogate-accelerated Bayesian inference

open access: yes
α-Amino ester hydrolases (AEHs) offer a promising route to the stereoselective synthesis of β-lactams such as cephalexin. However, published kinetic studies have encountered difficulty when extended beyond fitting of the data, indicating practical non ...
