Probing the Energy Landscape of α‐Synuclein Amyloid Fibril Formation by Systematic K‐to‐Q Mutagenesis

We use lysine‐to‐glutamine mutations to study the effect of electrostatics on the kinetics and thermodynamics of alpha‐synuclein amyloid fibril formation. Reconfigurable self‐contact variable stiffness metamaterials based on shape memory polymers enable programmable stiffness switching. Static arrays store and encrypt information with immunity to electromagnetic interference, while asymmetric stiffness converts symmetric vibration into directional matter transport.
