How often does a cubic hypersurface have a rational point? [PDF]
A cubic hypersurface in Pn defined over Q is given by the vanishing locus of a cubic form f in n+1 variables. It is conjectured that when n≥4, such cubic hypersurfaces satisfy the Hasse principle.

Long‐term hippocampal alterations and cognitive impairment in a murine model of surgical sepsis
Using a mouse model of surgical sepsis, we tested long‐term memory and analyzed the transcriptome of single cells isolated from the hippocampus. Survivor mice showed worse memory, loss of certain brain cell subpopulations, and abnormal immune cell activity—suggesting that post‐sepsis brain alterations may be linked to cognitive deficits.

Rational points over $C_1$-fields of characteristic 0
In the 1950s Lang studied the properties of $C_1$ fields, that is, fields over which every hypersurface of degree at most $n$ in a projective space of dimension $n$ has a rational point.

Active and Passive Realization of Fractance Device of Order 1/2
Active and passive realization of Fractance device of order 1/2 is presented. The crucial point in the realization of fractance device is finding the rational approximation of its impedance function.

Hydrostatic pressure activates HIF‐1α via β‐catenin to promote stemness in breast cancer cells
To mimic the elevated intestinal fluid pressure in breast cancers, we loaded human breast cancer cells (MCF‐7, MDA‐MB‐453, and BT‐474) to 50 mmHg hydrostatic pressure. Hydrostatic pressure exposure upregulated HIF‐1α and induced stemness in MCF‐7 and BT‐474 cells.

Irrational Nine-Point Centre is Impossible for a Triangle with Rational Vertices [PDF]
In the Iranian Mathematics competition at The University of Isfahan in March 1978, the following problem was given. Problem 1. [1, 1.6.1] In the xy-plane a point is called ‘rational’ if both of its coordinates are rational. Prove that if the centre of
