On Rational Graphs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
Using rationality, like in language theory, we define a family of infinite graphs. This family is a strict extension of the context-free graphs of Muller and Schupp, the equational graphs of Courcelle and the prefix recogniza- ble graphs of Caucal. We give basic properties, as well as an internal and an external characterization of these graphs.

Simple surface singularities [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2013
By the famous ADE classification rational double points are simple. Rational triple points are also simple. We conjecture that the simple normal surface singularities are exactly those rational singularities, whose resolution graph can be obtained from the graph of a rational double point or rational triple point by making (some) vertex weights more ...

Combined spatially resolved metabolomics and spatial transcriptomics reveal the mechanism of RACK1‐mediated fatty acid synthesis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The authors analyzed the spatial distributions of gene and metabolite profiles in cervical cancer through spatial transcriptomic and spatially resolved metabolomic techniques. Pivotal genes and metabolites within these cases were then identified and validated.

Majority rule can help solve difficult tasks even when confident members opt out to serve individual interests

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2023
When sharing a common goal, confident and competent members are often motivated to contribute to the group, boosting its decision performance. However, it is unclear whether this process remains effective when members can opt in or out of group decisions
