MORPHOLOGICAL FEATURES OF THE SUBMUCOSAL GLANDS OF THE RAT DUODENUM UNDER THE EFFECT OF THE COMPLEX OF FOOD ADDITIVES

open access: yesКлінічна та профілактична медицина
Aim. To establish the dynamics of changes in the morphometric parameters of the acini of the submucosal glands of the rat duodenum under normal conditions and under the complex effect of food additives. Materials and methods.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Effect of melatonin on the liver histophysiology of adolescent rats exposed to alcohol

open access: yes, 2023
The present study evaluated whether melatonin administered during adolescence can prevent the deleterious effects produced by alcohol on the liver. Thirty albino female rats (Rattus norvegicus albinus), 40 days old, virgins, weighing approximately 150 ...

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Chronic thoracic hemisection spinal cord injury in adult rats induces a progressive decline in transmission from uninjured fibers to lumbar motoneurons

open access: yes, 2008
Although most spinal cord injuries are anatomically incomplete, only limited functional recovery has been observed in people and rats with partial lesions.

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...
