Immunostimulatory Effect of Laminarin on RAW 264.7 Mouse Macrophages [PDF]
This study investigated the immunostimulatory effects of laminarin with respect to inflammatory mediators such as hydrogen peroxide, calcium, nitric oxide, various cytokines, transcription factors, and immune response gene in RAW 264.7 mouse macrophages.

pH‐Responsive Motors and their Interaction with RAW 264.7 Macrophages [PDF]
AbstractNano/micromotors are self‐propelled particles that use external stimuli to gain locomotion outperforming Brownian motion. Here, three different polymers are employed that are conjugated to silica particles through a pH‐labile linker. At slightly acidic pH, the linkers hydrolyze and release the polymeric chains, resulting in enhanced locomotion.

Alendronate Alters the Release of EVs by Raw 264.7 Osteoclasts. [PDF]
Alendronate (ALN), a nitrogen-containing bisphosphonate, is widely used to treat bone disorders. While its inhibitory effect on osteoclast activity is well-established, its impact on the release of extracellular vesicles (EVs) is less understood.

The uptake of tocopherols by RAW 264.7 macrophages [PDF]
Alpha-Tocopherol and gamma-tocopherol are the two major forms of vitamin E in human plasma and the primary lipid soluble antioxidants. The dietary intake of gamma-tocopherol is generally higher than that of alpha-tocopherol. However, alpha-tocopherol plasma levels are about four fold higher than those of gamma-tocopherol.

Osteopontin Is Induced by Nitric Oxide in RAW 264.7 Cells [PDF]
AbstractNitric oxide (NO) produced by macrophages is thought to contribute to various pathological conditions. Osteopontin (OPN) is a phosphorylated glycoprotein produced principally by macrophages. OPN inhibits inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS), which generates large amounts of NO production.

Inductive Effect of Palmatine on Apoptosis in RAW 264.7 Cells [PDF]
Osteoporosis is a serious public health problem characterized by low bone density and deterioration of the bone microarchitecture. Current treatment options target either osteoclast resorption or osteoblast formation. It has been reported that berberine, a close structural analog of palmatine, inhibited bone loss in an osteoporosis model. In this study,

Immunostimulating activity of Uncaria tomentosa in RAW 264.7 macrophages
Abstract Uncaria tomentosa is a plant native to the Amazon that has immunomodulatory and antitumor properties due to the alkaloids found in the plant, being able to modify the immune response by potentiating or suspending the action of cytokines secreted by macrophages that induce the immune response, either by the classical route (M1) or through the ...
