Activation of murine macrophage cell line RAW 264.7 by Korean propolis
Archives of Pharmacal Research, 2002Monocytes and macrophages play a major role in defense mechanism of the host response to tumor, in part through the secretion of several potent products and macrophage cytokines. Monocytes and tissue macrophages produce at least two groups of protein mediators of inflammation, interleukin 1 (IL-1) and tumor necrosis factor (TNF).

Anti-inflammatory effects of ononin on lipopolysaccharide-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells
Molecular Immunology, 2017Increasing evidence has shown that ononin, a major isoflavone, has anti-inflammatory effects on lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced inflammation. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying the anti-inflammatory effects of ononin are still unclear. In the present study, we investigated these effects and the underlying mechanisms of ononin on LPS-induced ...

Ascorbate enhances iNOS activity by increasing tetrahydrobiopterin in RAW 264.7 cells
Free Radical Biology and Medicine, 2003Studies on the effect of ascorbic acid on inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) activity are few and diverse, likely to be dependent on the species of cells. We investigated a role of ascorbic acid in iNOS induction and nitric oxide (NO) generation in mouse macrophage cell line RAW 264.7.

A heteropolysaccharide from Saccharina japonica with immunomodulatory effect on RAW 264.7 cells
Carbohydrate Polymers, 2018A heteropolysaccharide (SHP) with a strong immunomodulatory effect on RAW 264.7 cells was prepared from Saccharina japonica. Chemical analysis demonstrated that SHP was primarily composed of mannose, glucuronic acid, glucose, fucose, galactose, xylose and rahmnose with a molar ratio of 1.00:0.85:0.84:0.58:0.30:0.37:0.15.

Anti-inflammatory Effect of Erdosteine in Lipopolysaccharide-Stimulated RAW 264.7 Cells
Inflammation, 2016Erdosteine is widely used as a mucolytic agent and also has free radical scavenging and antioxidant activities. However, little is known about the mechanisms of the anti-inflammatory effect of erdosteine. We investigated the effect of erdosteine on the activation of the nuclear factor (NF)-kB/inhibitor of NFkB (IkB), and the mitogen-activated protein ...

Bacterial lipopolysaccharide induces osteoclast formation in RAW 264.7 macrophage cells
Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 2007Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) is a potent bone resorbing factor. The effect of LPS on osteoclast formation was examined by using murine RAW 264.7 macrophage cells. LPS-induced the formation of multinucleated giant cells (MGC) in RAW 264.7 cells 3 days after the exposure. MGCs were positive for tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase (TRAP) activity.

Influence of SphK1 on Inflammatory Responses in Lipopolysaccharide-Challenged RAW 264.7 Cells
Cell Biochemistry and BiophysicsAcute lung injury (ALI) and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) are serious respiratory disorders caused by a variety of intrapulmonary and extrapulmonary factors. Their incidence is increasing year by year, with high morbidity and mortality rates and lack of effective treatment.

RANKL-Mediated Osteoclast Formation from Murine RAW 264.7 cells
2011Extensive research efforts over the years have provided us with great insights into how bone-resorbing osteoclasts (OCs) develop and function and, based on such work, valuable antiresorptive therapies have been developed to help combat the excessive bone loss that occurs in numerous skeletal disorders. The RAW 264.7 murine cell line has proven to be an
