The induction of HMGB1 release from RAW 264.7 cells by transfected DNA [PDF]
High mobility group protein 1 (HMGB1) is a non-histone nuclear protein that can activate innate immunity when in an extracellular location. As shown in in vitro studies, while polyinosinic-polycytidylic acid [poly (I:C)] and LPS, TLR3 and TLR4 ligands, respectively, can induce HMGB1 release from macrophages, CpG DNA, a TLR 9 ligand, does not. Since DNA

Programmable Paracrine‐Mimetic Microneedle System for Temporal Regulation of Cardiac Repair
Temporal signaling is encoded into a programmable paracrine‐mimetic microneedle patch via tris(2,2'‐bipyridyl)dichlororuthenium(II) hexahydrate/sodium persulfate‐tuned hydrogel microparticles that deliver TGF‐β, IGF‐1, and VEGF over phase‐matched 7‐, 14‐, and 28‐day windows.

HMGB1 induces time-dependent caspase activation in RAW 264.7 macrophages.
RAW 264.7 cells were exposed to HMGB1 (5 µg/ml) for 24, 48 or 72 hours. Activated Caspase-3 was detected in cell extracts by Western blotting. Tubulin was used for loading control.

Given that PEEK chest wall implants induce shear force at the soft tissue‐implant interface due to respiratory motion in the early in vivo post‐implantation stage. We confirmed that this mechanical stimulus triggers the PIEZO1/ITGB1/YAP1 signalling axis in L929 and the STAT6/p‐STAT6 pathway in RAW264.7, which in turn mediates adhesion and migration of ...

Direct co-culture with human neural stem cells suppresses hemolysate-induced inflammation in RAW 264.7 macrophages through the extracellular signal-regulated kinase pathway [PDF]
Background Inflammation following stroke is associated with poor outcomes, and the anti-inflammatory effects of neural stem cells (NSCs) have been reported. However, the direct immunomodulatory effects of NSCs in hemorrhagic stroke remain unclear. In the

Somatostatin Regulates Raw 264.7 Cell Cytokine Release [PDF]
Immigrant monocytes and resident macrophages propagate the vertebrate innate immune response through cell migration and cytokine production. Monocytes responding to inflammatory challenge migrate into tissues, and as resident macrophages, release a major

Chemical Bond‐Orchestrated Energy Depletion to Augment Lung Cancer Chemo‐Immunotherapy
This study grafted dichloroacetic acid (DCA) into perylenediimide (PDI) skeleton via ionic or covalent bond to create novel metabolic agent PDIC‐AC and PDIC‐NAC, explicitly elaborated the underlying energy metabolism and therapeutic mechanism, and developed a promising strategy for energy metabolism‐targeting chemo‐immunotherapy by chemical bond ...

Liquid gallium (Ga) acts as a catalytic center for nitric oxide (NO) generation within a tannic acid–zirconium metal–phenolic network coating. Stabilized Ga nanoparticles catalyze S‐nitrosothiol decomposition through surface electron transfer, enabling controlled NO production, enhancing endothelial biocompatibility, and providing antioxidant and anti ...

Uptake of nitric oxide synthase inhibitors by macrophage RAW 264.7 cells [PDF]
Uptake of the nitric oxide synthase inhibitors NG-methyl-L-arginine (L-NMA) and NG-nitro-L-arginine (L-NNA) by macrophages is mediated by two different mechanisms. Activation of the cells with cytokines resulted in an up-regulation of L-NMA uptake but did not affect L-NNA transport.
