Data Driven Stochastic Energy Management for Isolated Microgrids Based on Generative Adversarial Networks Considering Reactive Power Capabilities of Distributed Energy Resources and Reactive Power Costs

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
This paper proposes a two-stage stochastic energy management (EM) in an isolated microgrid (MG) to decide for the day-ahead optimal dispatch. The dispatch aims to effectively manage the MG power sources, including intermittent renewable energy sources ...

Provision of Ancillary Services with Variable Speed Wind Turbines [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
In recent years, the amount of wind turbines in the power system has increased tremendously. As the current wind turbines do not participate in the provision of ancillary services such as frequency control and voltage control, this may compromise the ...

Inertia emulation control strategy for VSC-HVDC transmission systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
There is concern that the levels of inertia in power systems may decrease in the future, due to increased levels of energy being provided from renewable sources, which typically have little or no inertia.

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Adaptive Gains Control Scheme for PMSG-Based Wind Power Plant to Provide Voltage Regulation Service

open access: yesEnergies, 2019
High-penetration wind power will count towards a significant portion of future power grid. This significant role requires wind turbine generators (WTGs) to contribute to voltage and reactive power support.

Enhancing LVRT capability of DFIG using cooperative control of BTFCL and RPC

open access: yesAutomatika, 2023
To integrate the high penetration of power from wind farms into a grid, one of the key requirements posed by new grid codes is Low Voltage Ride Through (LVRT) capability. This paper studies voltage compensation-based methods to improve fault ride-through

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.
