Circulating microRNAs as biomarkers of cachexia and sex‐specific cancer in senior dogs. In 25 client‐owned dogs, four circulating miRNAs (miR‐15a, miR‐15b, miR‐16, miR‐140) were downregulated in cachexia, with miR‐16 the strongest individual biomarker (AUC = 0.899).

Cerebrovascular pressure reactivity plays a key role in maintaining constant cerebral blood flow. Unfortunately, this mechanism is often impaired in acute traumatic neural injury states, exposing the already injured brain to further pressure-passive ...

INDICATING ADSORBENTS BASED ON THE REACTIVITY POLYMERS
The basic principles of synthesis of granulated indicator adsorbents of the new generation with a visual determination of the moment of the operation end are described in the present paper. Adsorbents are designed to equip the gas analyzers filter systems.

CEACAM1 participation in breast cancer progression
In invasive breast cancer (BC), CEACAM1 shifts from an apical to a uniform membranous/cytoplasmic pattern, or is lost, as tumors dedifferentiate, inversely tracking the Ki‐67 proliferative index. In MCF‐7 cells, only CEACAM1‐4L suppresses proliferation, repressing cell cycle and growth factor genes.

Study on Neutronic Performance Evaluation Method of Burnable Poisons
Burnable poisons (BPs) play a critical role in reactivity control for small long-lifetime pressurized water reactors (PWRs). However, traditional evaluation methods are subjective and one-dimensional, which cannot fully capture their multi-stage ...

Spatial biology in cancer epigenetics
Spatial epigenomics combines molecular profiling with tissue architecture to reveal how gene regulation is organized within intact tissues. In cancer, these technologies uncover the mechanisms driving tumor heterogeneity and microenvironmental interactions, opening new opportunities for biomarker discovery and precision medicine.

High‐risk bladder cancer is typically treated with Bacillus Calmette‐Guérin (BCG), but 30–40% of patients relapse. No FDA‐ or CE‐approved biomarkers currently predict or prognosticate BCG failure. We systematically reviewed the literature and identified 72 eligible studies, revealing several promising biomarkers associated with BCG treatment response ...

Chemical Reactivity Indices of the Caffeine Molecule
In this paper we present an analysis of the caffeine molecule using diffuse and polarized basis functions, 6-31++G(d,p) and aug-cc-pVDZ, as well as theD95V basis set, combined with the HF, MP2 and DFT methods. The aim was to investigate the effects of these methods and basis sets in quantum chemical descriptors, e.g., ionization potential, electron

In head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) p53 and p63 exert opposite roles on the transcription regulation of the lncRNA NEAT1. Under basal conditions, p53 levels are low and p63 represses NEAT1 expression. Upon genotoxic stress, p53 is rapidly induced, displacing p63 from the NEAT1 promoter leading to NEAT1 transcriptional activation and ...
