Phrase Reading Training and Reading Achievement

AMBLE (1) provided evidence that phrase readI ing training, using a tachistoscopic-type presenta tion, improved the reading performance of fifth and sixth grade children. There was some indication that the gains resulted from an increase in reading comprehension independent of reading rate.
