In-Use Emissions Testing of Diesel-Driven Buses in Southampton:Is Selective Catalytic Reduction as Effective as Fleet Operators Think? [PDF]
Despite the continuously tightening emissions legislation, urban concentrations of nitrogen oxides (NOx) remain at harmful levels. Road transport is responsible for a large fraction, wherein diesel engines are the principal culprits.

Building a cycle for Real Driving Emissions
Abstract The EU6d Emission Regulation requires Real Driving Emissions as an additional type approval requirement within the 2017 - 2020 timeframe in order to take into account the influence of the road profile, the ambient conditions and the traffic situation as well as the behavior of the driver.

Influence of the stop/start system on CO2 emissions of a diesel vehicle in urban traffic [PDF]
This paper presents measurements of CO2 emission and efficiency of stop/start technology on a diesel vehicle in urban traffic. Two four-wheel-drive diesel vehicles with on-board exhaust emission and vehicle activity measurement systems were tested in two

Real World Driving: Emissions in Highly Congested Traffic [PDF]
<div class="section abstract"><div class="htmlview paragraph">The emissions from vehicles in real world driving are of current concern, as they are often higher than on legislated test cycles and this may explain why air quality in cities has not improved in proportion to the reduction in automotive emissions.

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Contribution of Cold Starts to Real-World Trip Emissions for Light-Duty Gasoline Vehicles
For catalytic converter-equipped light-duty gasoline vehicles (LDGV), the hot-stabilized tailpipe emissions for pollutants such as carbon monoxide (CO), hydrocarbons (HC), and nitrogen oxides (NOx) are well controlled.
