Enhancing Real Estate Project Feasibility Through Real Option Analysis

open access: yesInternational Journal For Multidisciplinary Research
Real estate development projects are often influenced by market uncertainty, long timelines, and changing economic conditions. Traditional evaluation methods, such as Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) analysis, assume fixed future cash flows and may not fully capture the value of strategic flexibility.

A model for determining whether a firm should exercise multiple real options individually or simultaneously [PDF]

open access: yes
We develop a model for determining whether a firm should exercise two real options individually or simultaneously. The simultaneous exercise of both options has positive synergy, such as economies of scale, scope, and networks, while separate exercise of

Conserved structural motifs in PAS, LOV, and CRY proteins regulate circadian rhythms and are therapeutic targets

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cryptochrome and PAS/LOV proteins play intricate roles in circadian clocks where they act as both sensors and mediators of protein–protein interactions. Their ubiquitous presence in signaling networks has positioned them as targets for small‐molecule therapeutics. This review provides a structural introduction to these protein families.

An upstream open reading frame regulates expression of the mitochondrial protein Slm35 and mitophagy flux

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

A modeling government revenue guarantees in privately built transportation projects: a risk-adjusted approach

open access: yesTransport, 2013
Countries around the world have welcomed Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) as an alternative to finance infrastructure. For strategic projects with high demand uncertainty, a government may decide to provide a concessionaire with a Minimum Revenue ...

A real options approach to project management. [PDF]

open access: yes
When scheduling an uncertain project, project management may wait for additional (future) information to serve as the basis for rescheduling the project.

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

A Reply to “Option Value of Harvesting†Revisited (The Comment) [PDF]

open access: yes
Li’s results (1998) are correct and robust. The Comment offers an interesting perspective from real-options theory, albeit misguided--from a resource-economics point of view.

PICALM::MLLT10 translocated leukemia

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This comprehensive review of PICALM::MLLT10 translocated acute leukemia provides an in‐depth review of the structure and function of CALM, AF10, and the fusion oncoprotein (1). The multifaceted molecular mechanisms of oncogenesis, including nucleocytoplasmic shuttling (2), epigenetic modifications (3), and disruption of endocytosis (4), are then ...
