Down‐regulation of Shh in the hair follicles of mice during chemotherapy‐induced hair loss is mediated by the JAK/STAT1 signaling pathway

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We found that during chemotherapy‐induced alopecia (CIA), Sonic hedgehog (Shh) expression significantly decreased in hair follicle Shh+ cells, whereas the Janus‐activated kinase/signal transducer and activator of transcription 1 (JAK/STAT1) signaling pathway was markedly activated.

Localization Accuracy Improvement of a Visible Light Positioning System Based on the Linear Illumination of LED Sources

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2017
As a new technique of indoor localization, visible light positioning has the advantages of high accuracy and antielectromagnetic interference. Received signal strength (RSS) based visible light positioning method is easy to implement because it requires ...

Radio Map Framework for GSM Positioning

open access: yesCommunications, 2009
This paper introduces radio map framework for creation of GSM (Global System for Mobile communications) network radio maps. These radio maps are structured in the way that they can be utilized later on as a data source for fingerprinting-based ...

Efficient physical layer key generation technique in wireless communications

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking, 2020
Wireless communications between two devices can be protected by secret keys. However, existing key generation schemes suffer from the high bit disagreement rate and low bit generation rate.

Engineering tandem VHHs to target different epitopes to enhance antibody‐dependent cell‐mediated cytotoxicity

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Tandem VHH targeting distinct EGFR epitopes were engineered into a monovalent bispecific antibody (7D12‐EGA1‐Fc) with more potent ADCC without increasing affinity to EGFR. Structural modeling of 7D12‐EGA1‐Fc showed cross‐linking of separate EGFR domains to enhance CD16a engagement on NK cells.

Received signal strength gradient estimation for mobile networks [PDF]

open access: yes2010 - MILCOM 2010 MILITARY COMMUNICATIONS CONFERENCE, 2010
This paper considers the question: As a receiver moves along a trajectory, is its received signal strength (RSS) increasing or decreasing? This is an important question for mobile receivers to answer in order to maintain or improve connectivity within the network.

Erythropoietin modulates hepatic inflammation, glucose homeostasis, and soluble epoxide hydrolase and epoxides in high‐fat diet‐induced obese mice

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Erythropoietin administration suppresses hepatic soluble epoxide hydrolase (sEH) expression, leading to increased CYP‐derived epoxides. This is associated with a shift in hepatic macrophage polarization characterized by reduced M1 markers and increased M2 markers, along with reduced hepatic inflammation, suppressed hepatic lipogenesis, and attenuated ...
