Integrative miRNOMe profiling reveals the miR‐195‐5p–CHEK1 axis and its impact on luminal breast cancer outcomes

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In luminal (ER+) breast carcinoma (BC), miRNA profiling identified miR‐195‐5p as a key regulator of proliferation that targets CHEK1, CDC25A, and CCNE1. High CHEK1 expression correlates with worse relapse‐free survival after chemotherapy, especially in patients with luminal A subtype.

PROSPECTS FOR ANTI-B-CELL THERAPY IN RHEUMATOLOGY

open access: yesНаучно-практическая ревматология, 2018
Impaired B-cell immunological tolerance plays a central role in the pathogenesis of autoimmune rheumatic diseases and autoimmune diseases of another nature.

Chimeric diphtheria toxin–CCL8 cytotoxic peptide for breast cancer management

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
DTCCL8 is a recombinant fusion toxin that targets cancer cells expressing chemokine receptors. By combining diphtheria toxin with CCL8, DTCCL8 binds to multiple receptors on tumor cells and induces selective cytotoxicity. This strategy enables receptor‐mediated targeting of cancer and may support the development of chemokine‐guided therapeutics ...

Future perspectives in target-specific immunotherapies of myasthenia gravis

open access: yesTherapeutic Advances in Neurological Disorders, 2015
Myasthenia gravis (MG) is an autoimmune disease caused by complement-fixing antibodies against acetylcholine receptors (AChR); antigen-specific CD4+ T cells, regulatory T cells (Tregs) and T helper (Th) 17+ cells are essential in antibody production ...

Evidence that the T cell antigen receptor may not be involved in cytotoxicity mediated by gamma/delta and alpha/beta thymic cell lines. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1987
After culture in IL-2, thymocytes expressing either TCR-alpha/beta or -gamma/delta acquired the ability to lyse hematopoietic and solid tumor cell targets without deliberate immunization or apparent restriction by the MHC.

Raphin‐1 mediates the survival and sensitivity to radiation of pediatric‐type diffuse high‐grade glioma via phosphorylated eukaryotic initiation factor 2α‐dependent and ‐independent processes

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Raphin‐1 reduces the survival of PED‐DHGG cells and enhances their radiation sensitivity through both PeIF2α‐dependent and PeIF2α‐independent mechanisms. Raphin‐1 sustains elevated levels of PeIF2α, contributing to its PeIF2α‐dependent effects. Additionally, raphin‐1 interacts with CReP to mediate a separate radiosensitizing pathway that operates ...

Lineage- and stage-specific activity of antigen receptor gene enhancers during lymphocyte development

open access: yesFrontiers in Epigenetics and Epigenomics
Lymphocyte development culminates with generation of mature B and T cells that express unique antigen receptors on the cell surface. Genes that encode the two chains of B or T cell receptors are generated via DNA recombination and expressed sequentially ...

Requirement for the coexpression of T3 and the T cell antigen receptor on a malignant human T cell line. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1984
The association between T3 and the T cell antigen receptor was examined using the T3 bearing T cell leukemic line Jurkat. A monoclonal antibody, C305, was produced, which reacted with idiotypic-like determinants expressed on Jurkat.

Machine learning for identifying liver and pancreas cancers through comprehensive serum glycopeptide spectra analysis: a case‐control study

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study presents a novel AI‐based diagnostic approach—comprehensive serum glycopeptide spectra analysis (CSGSA)—that integrates tumor markers and enriched glycopeptides from serum. Using a neural network model, this method accurately distinguishes liver and pancreatic cancers from healthy individuals.

Immunization and Aging: a Learning Process in the Immune Network

open access: yes, 1998
The immune system can be thought as a complex network of different interacting elements. A cellular automaton, defined in shape-space, was recently shown to exhibit self-regulation and complex behavior and is, therefore, a good candidate to model the ...
