Synaptic Dysfunction in the Anterior Cingulate Cortex Underlies Pain‐Anxiety Comorbidity in a Mandibular Asymmetry Mouse Model

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study establishes a mandibular asymmetry (MA) mouse model that recapitulates chronic orofacial pain and anxiety comorbidity. Anterior cingulate cortex (ACC) hyperactivation and synaptic dysfunction are identified as central neural mechanisms underlying these pathologies, with chemogenetic inhibition of ACC CaMKII+ neurons effectively reversing ...

Luminescent Nanocucurbits Enable Spatiotemporal Co‐Delivery of Hydrophilic and Hydrophobic Chemotherapeutic Agents

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A cucurbit‐shaped luminescent nanoparticle (nanocucurbit) is engineered through the self‐assembly of polypeptides conjugated with aggregation‐induced emission (AIE) fluorophore. The resulting nanocucurbit exhibits approximately two‐fold higher cellular internalization efficiency compared to its spherical counterparts.

Temporal Transcriptional Regulation of Human Neuronal Differentiation via Forward Programming

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Single‐cell profiling of TF‐induced forward programming versus stepwise dual‐SMAD differentiation reveals that divergent trajectories set the pace of neurogenesis. OLIG TFs advance cell‐cycle exit via NOTCH modulation, while NEUROD2 later accelerates maturation. The study elucidates transcriptional mechanisms governing differentiation timing, providing

ACSL5 Regulates Glucose Metabolism and Chemotherapy Sensitivity in Colorectal Cancer Cells under Glutamine Deficiency

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Glutamine deprivation triggers ACSL5 upregulation in tumor cells, sustaining their viability via dual metabolic rewiring programs. ACSL5 enhances glycolysis by relieving p53's inhibition of PGAM1 while also sustaining mitochondrial respiration and TCA cycle flux through promoting IDH2 dimerization.

Subicular Astrocytes Govern Seizure‐Impaired Fear Memory

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Astrocytes in dorsal subiculum act as a critical modulator of seizure‐associated cognitive dysfunction, operating through a Ca2+‐dependent adenosine‐linked astrocyte‐neuron signaling pathway that disrupts neuronal circuit homeostasis. This research highlights the potential of astrocyte‐targeted interventions as a therapeutic strategy, moving beyond the
