Interleukin-10 and Interleukin-10–Receptor Defects in Inflammatory Bowel Disease
Current Allergy and Asthma Reports, 2012Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a chronic inflammatory disease characterized by abdominal pain, bloody diarrhoea, and malabsorption leading to weight loss. It is considered the result of inadequate control of an excessive reaction of the immune system to the resident flora of the gut. Like other primary immunodeficiencies, IL-10 and IL-10 receptor (

Role of interleukin-10 and interleukin-10 receptor in systemic lupus erythematosus
Clinical Rheumatology, 2013Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a prototypic autoimmune disease characterized by excessive production of a variety of autoantibodies, accumulation of immune complexes, and multiple organ systems involvement. Interleukin-10 (IL-10) has an important role in the growth, survival, differentiation, and function of B cells.

AbstractActivated glial cells crucially contribute to brain inflammatory responses. Interleukin‐10 (IL‐10) is an important modulator of glial cell responses in the brain. In the present study we describe the expression of IL‐10 and the IL‐10 receptor (IL‐10R1) in primary cocultures of rat microglial and astroglial cells.

Interactions among the components of the interleukin-10 receptor complex
Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 2006We used fluorescence resonance energy transfer previously to show that the interferon-gamma (IFN-gamma) receptor complex is a preformed entity mediated by constitutive interactions between the IFN-gammaR2 and IFN-gammaR1 chains, and that this preassembled entity changes its structure after the treatment of cells with IFN-gamma.

Purification of receptor complexes of interleukin‐10
European Journal of Biochemistry, 1999Interleukin‐10 (IL‐10) is a pleiotropic immunosuppressive cytokine that has a wide range of effects in controlling inflammatory responses. Viral IL‐10 (vIL‐10) is a homologue of human IL‐10 (hIL‐10) produced by Epstein‐Barr virus (EBV). Both hIL‐10 and vIL‐10 bind to the soluble extracellular fragment of the cytokine receptor IL‐10R1 (shIL‐10R1).

Interleukin-10 and interleukin-10 receptor in human osteoarthritic and healthy chondrocytes.
Clinical and experimental rheumatology, 2001To evaluate the expression of interleukin-10 (IL-10) and interleukin-10 receptor (IL-10R) on chondrocytes from healthy, osteoarthritic, and foetal cartilage from human subjects.Articular cartilage was obtained from 12 patients with osteoarthritis (OA) undergoing surgical knee replacement.

Comparison of Interleukin-22 and Interleukin-10 Soluble Receptor Complexes
Journal of Interferon & Cytokine Research, 2002Interleukin-22 (IL-22) is a cellular homolog of IL-10 that stimulates the production of acute-phase reactants. IL-22 and IL-10 require different ligand-specific receptor chains (IL-22R and IL-10R1) but share a second receptor chain (IL-10R2) to initiate cellular responses.

Interleukin-10 and its receptor.
Therapeutic immunology, 1995The cytokine interleukin-10 (IL-10) has several important activities on cells of the immune system. IL-10 profoundly suppresses activation of macrophages, inhibiting their ability to secrete cytokines and serve as accessory cells for stimulation of T cell and natural killer (NK) cell function.

The human interleukin-10 receptor gene maps to chromosome 11q23.3
Human Genetics, 1995The human interleukin-10 receptor (IL-10R) gene has previously been mapped to chromosome 11. Here, we have determined the precise location of the human IL-10R gene by the fluorescence in situ hybridization method, and have found that the IL-10R gene maps to chromosome 11q23.3.

Placental Tissue Interleukin‐10 Receptor Distribution in Pre‐eclampsia
American Journal of Reproductive Immunology, 2003PROBLEM: Reduced placental (trophoblast) cytokine interleukin‐10 (IL‐10) occurs in human pre‐eclampsia. Along with an increase in inflammatory cytokines this may play an important role in the development of hypertension in pregnancy. It is not clear whether the changes in placental IL‐10 are due to a change in the placental cell production of IL‐10 or ...
