Association Between Disruption of Blood Pressure Circadian Rhythm and Prognosis After Acute Anterior Myocardial Infarction

open access: yesClinical Cardiology, Volume 49, Issue 8, August 2026.
This study retrospectively analyzed the characteristics of blood pressure rhythm after emergency PCI for patients with anterior STEMI, discovering the burden of disrupted BP circadian rhythm. The reverse dipper BP rhythm may serve as an independent factor of MACE.

Comparative Efficacy and Safety of Antihypertensive Strategies in Diabetic Kidney Disease: Protocol for an Update of a Systematic Review and Component Network Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesHealth Science Reports, Volume 9, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Background and Aims Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a significant global contributor to morbidity and mortality, with hypertension and diabetes mellitus remaining its primary causes. Effective antihypertensive treatment is a key modifiable strategy to improve outcomes in this population. However, the emergence of novel therapies, together with

Atrial High‐Rate Episodes Mirror Atrial Fibrillation in Stroke Prediction: Evidence From an Indian Prospective Cohort

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, Volume 42, Issue 4, August 2026.
This prospective matched cohort study, which generates hypotheses, finds that device‐detected AF lasting under 24 h is linked to a notably increased risk of stroke/TIA and progression to clinical AF among Indian patients. ABSTRACT Aims To assess the risk of stroke/TIA and progression to atrial fibrillation (AF) in Indian patients with device‐detected ...

Utility of Post‐Procedural HFA‐PEFF Reassessment for Long‐Term Heart Failure Risk Stratification After Atrial Fibrillation Ablation

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, Volume 42, Issue 4, August 2026.
In this single‐center cohort of 856 patients with preserved left ventricular ejection fraction undergoing atrial fibrillation ablation, post‐procedural HFA‐PEFF reassessment provided better long‐term discrimination for heart failure hospitalization than pre‐procedural assessment over a median 5.2‐year follow‐up.

Electrocardiographic Predictors of Cardiac Reverse Remodeling After Left Bundle Branch Area Pacing in Atrioventricular Block: Emphasis on Post‐Pacing QRS Duration

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, Volume 42, Issue 4, August 2026.
In patients with atrioventricular block undergoing left bundle branch area pacing, shorter post‐pacing QRS duration was associated with cardiac reverse remodeling. Post‐pacing QRS duration may represent a simple and clinically applicable electrocardiographic marker for identifying patients more likely to achieve reverse remodeling.
