Toxic shock syndrome (TSS) is a life‐threatening, toxin‐mediated disease characterized by hypotension, fever, diffuse erythema, and multi‐organ failure. Early recognition and adequate treatment are paramount. The main causative agents are Streptococcus pyogenes and Staphylococcus aureus.
