Seismic Performances of Replaceable Steel Connection with Low Yield Point Metal

open access: yesAdvances in Materials Science and Engineering, 2015
Compared with the traditional steel rigid connection, the beam-column connections with weakened beam end have better ductility, but the local buckling in the weakened zone and the overall lateral deformation may occur in strong earthquake.

Transformative Bioactive Wear Resistant Ti3Au:N and Ti3Au:O Coatings for Medical Implants and Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, Volume 15, Issue 6, 9 February 2026.
Coatings of titanium‐gold are grown in nitrogen and oxygen environments via magnetron sputtering to simultaneously enhance their biotribological and antibacterial properties. The coatings are highly crystalline with superhard scratch‐resistant surfaces and wear rates 20 times lower than the bare Ti‐6Al‐4V substrate.

Multi‐Objective Optimization of Phase Change Coupled Thermal Management System Based on NSWOA

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, Volume 9, Issue 1, January 2026.
NSWOA‐optimized liquid‐PCM hybrid cooling reduces 18 650 pack Tmax by 5.9 K and ΔT to 4.7 K at 4 °C discharge, validated within 1.5 K error; non‐uniform cell placement and key PCM properties are balanced for safety. This study investigates phase change materials (PCMs) for lithium battery thermal management.
