Designable van der Waals Crystal for Artificial Neuronal Cell Mimicking
Designable van der Waals crystal has been demonstrated for device‐scale neuronal cell mimicking. The structural similarity between ion‐channel in biological membranes and layered vdW lattices is realized with nano‐crystallization via Ar + H2S plasma sulfurization.

Structural Evolution During Recrystallization
The evidence showing the failure of the classic Johnson-Mehl-Avrami equation to describe most recrystallization kinetics is reviewed. The failure is seen in the value of the exponent in which is less than the theoretically predicted exponents. The reason

A model for the influence of micro-alloying elements on static recrystallization of austenite
After and during hot rolling of steel, recrystallization can occur and impact severely on the resulting product properties. Recrystallization kinetics are, in particular, influenced by the addition of micro-alloying elements.

Recrystallization rims in Valle d'Arbedo zircon: An integrated cathodoluminescence, LA-ICP-MS, SHRIMP and TEM study [PDF]
Recrystallization rims are a common feature of zircon crystals that underwent metamorphism. We present a microstructural and microchemical study of partially recrystallized zircon grains collected in polymetamorphic migmatites (Valle d'Arbedo, Ticino ...

Two‐Way Shape Memory Polymer Composite Gripper for Adaptive Robotic Applications
A two‐way shape memory polymer (SMP) composite is developed with intrinsic shape‐changing capability driven solely by temperature, eliminating external actuation loads. Embedding the SMP in a low‐stiffness elastomeric matrix enabled reversible transformations during heating and cooling cycles.
