On a scaled balanced-power product recurrence
A power product recurrence (due to M. W. Bunder) is extended here by the introduction of a scaling factor, and delivers a sequence whose general term closed form is derived for both degenerate and non-degenerate characteristic root cases. It is shown how

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

A scaled power product recurrence examined using matrix methods [PDF]
A scaled power product recurrence is examined here via a matrix approach which both recovers and extends some recent results found using standard difference equations theory alone. Closed forms for the associated sequence terms are derived for a range of

Tumor B‐cell infiltration in platinum‐treated advanced muscle‐invasive urothelial carcinoma
Bladder tumors with higher pretreatment memory B‐cell infiltration were linked to longer survival after cisplatin chemotherapy, but not carboplatin. These tumors also showed more organized immune structures (tertiary lymphoid structures) and a shared pro‐inflammatory B‐cell‐rich community, suggesting that memory B cells may help identify patients most ...

Liquid biopsy‐based diagnostic evaluation of hypermethylated CpG sites for ovarian cancer diagnosis
This schematic outlines the workflow from biomarker identification to duplex MethyLight assay validation for epithelial ovarian cancer diagnosis using cfDNA‐based liquid biopsy. Initial screening of hypermethylated CpG candidates (cg02957270, cg10061138 cg00480298, COL2A1) was performed in tissue using ARMS‐PCR, COBRA, qPCR and image analysis. Selected

Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.

Recurrence of a modified random walk and its application to an economic model
A modification of Chung and Fuchs’ (Mem. Amer. Math. Soc., 6 (1951), pp. 1-12) recurrence theorem for random walks leads to an analogous result for a different discrete parameter Markov process.
