Semi-local convergence of Cordero's sixth-order method
In this paper, the semi-local convergence of the Cordero's sixth-order iterative method in Banach space was proved by the method of recursion relation. In the process of proving, the auxiliary sequence and three increasing scalar functions can be derived

In this explorative biomarker analysis, we assessed serial sampling of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) with CellSearch in two randomized trials testing immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) in metastatic breast cancer. Our data demonstrate a prognostic potential of CTCs, most apparent 4 weeks into ICI therapy.

Circulating tumor cells: advancing personalized therapy in small cell lung cancer patients
Small cell lung cancer (SCLC) is an aggressive form of lung cancer that spreads rapidly to secondary sites such as the brain and liver. Cancer cells circulating in the blood, “circulating tumor cells” (CTCs), have demonstrated prognostic value in SCLC, and evaluating biomarkers on CTCs could guide treatment decisions such as for PARP inhibitors ...

Generating Functions for Four Classes of Triple Binomial Sums
By means of the generating function approach, four classes of triple sums involving circular products of binomial coefficients are investigated. Recurrence relations and rational generating functions are established.

A RECURRENCE RELATION FOR THE JONES POLYNOMIAL
Using a simple recurrence relation, we give a new method to compute the Jones polynomials of closed braids: we find a general expan- sion formula and a rational generating function for the Jones polynomials.

Objectives: Carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) is widely used for postoperative surveillance of colon cancer. Even if serum CEA is negative at initial surgery, it may turn positive at recurrence.

Cell‐free and extracellular vesicle microRNAs with clinical utility for solid tumors
Cell‐free microRNAs (cfmiRs) are small‐RNA circulating molecules detectable in almost all body biofluids. Innovative technologies have improved the application of cfmiRs to oncology, with a focus on clinical needs for different solid tumors, but with emphasis on diagnosis, prognosis, cancer recurrence, as well as treatment monitoring.

In this paper, by using q-integers and higher-order generalized Fibonacci numbers, we define the higher-order generalized Fibonacci quaternions with q-integer components. We give some special cases of these newly established quaternions.

Discrete Hypergeometric Legendre Polynomials
A discrete analog of the Legendre polynomials defined by discrete hypergeometric series is investigated. The resulting polynomials have qualitatively similar properties to classical Legendre polynomials.

The authors applied joint/mixed models that predict mortality of trifluridine/tipiracil‐treated metastatic colorectal cancer patients based on circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) trajectories. Patients at high risk of death could be spared aggressive therapy with the prospect of a higher quality of life in their remaining lifetime, whereas patients with a ...
