Protonation states of highly conserved carboxylic acids in NeoR
Neorhodopsin (NeoR), an enzymerhodopsin, has unique molecular properties. NeoR absorbs near-infrared light whose λmax is located at 690–700 nm. Upon light absorption, NeoR is photoisomerized into the 7-cis form with low quantum yield. Unique color-tuning

Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Large shift in symbiont assemblage in the invasive red turpentine beetle.
Changes in symbiont assemblages can affect the success and impact of invasive species, and may provide knowledge regarding the invasion histories of their vectors. Bark beetle symbioses are ideal systems to study changes in symbiont assemblages resulting

Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.

Red-shift of stimulated emission in ZnSe-based semiconductors
A red-shift in the stimulated emission wavelength with increasing intensity is observed using picosecond laser excitation of molecular-beam-epitaxial ZnSe epilayers and ZnSe-based quantum-well structures.

Zeno-Gravity Correspondence: Zeno's Dichotomy Paradox and Gravitational red-shift near Event Horizon [PDF]
We relate Zeno's Dichotomy paradox with gravitational red-shift near event horizon in a spherically symmetric space-time. A dictionary of this connection, henceforth called as Zeno-Gravity correspondence, has been built up.

Both cg12821679MAPRE3 methylation and MAPRE3 expression are significantly associated with overall survival (OS) of non‐small cell lung cancer. Meanwhile, MAPRE3 expression significantly modified the effect of smoking cessation on OS. Smoking cessation benefits OS merely for patients with high MAPRE3 expression.

Cosmic Red Shift, Microwave Background, and New Particles
The explanation of the red shift in spectra of remote galaxies and cosmic microwave background radiation from the concept of an expanding Universe seems inadequate, and invites other explanations.
