Determining Reduced Order Models for Optimal Stochastic Reduced Order Models
The use of parameterized reduced order models(PROMs) within the stochastic reduced order model (SROM) framework is a logical progression for both methods. In this report, five different parameterized reduced order models are selected and critiqued against the other models along with truth model for the example of the Brake-Reuss beam. The models are: a

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Efficient Reduced Order Modeling of Large Data Sets Obtained from CFD Simulations
The ever-increasing computational power has shifted direct numerical simulations towards higher Reynolds numbers and large eddy simulations towards industrially-relevant flow scales.

Physically constrained data‐driven correction for reduced‐order modeling of fluid flows [PDF]
We have recently proposed a data‐driven correction reduced‐order model (DDC‐ROM) framework for the numerical simulation of fluid flows, which can be formally written as follows.

Reduced-Order Modeling of Diffusive Effects on the Dynamics of Bubbles [PDF]
The Rayleigh-Plesset equation and its extensions have been used extensively to model spherical bubble dynamics, yet radial diffusion equations must be solved to correctly capture damping effects due to mass and thermal diffusion.

Full- & Reduced-Order State-Space Modeling of Wind Turbine Systems with Permanent-Magnet Synchronous Generator [PDF]
Wind energy is an integral part of nowadays energy supply and one of the fastest growing sources of electricity in the world today. Accurate models for wind energy conversion systems (WECSs) are of key interest for the analysis and control design of ...

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Neuro-Fuzzy Network-Based Reduced-Order Modeling of Transonic Aileron Buzz
In the present work, a reduced-order modeling (ROM) framework based on a recurrent neuro-fuzzy model (NFM) that is serial connected with a multilayer perceptron (MLP) neural network is applied for the computation of transonic aileron buzz.

Laguerre-Gram Reduced-Order Modeling [PDF]
International audienceWe present an efficient model reduction procedure based on the Laguerre description of the system to be approximated. Using a one-order operator defined in the Laplace domain we construct a pencil of functions and formulate the ...

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.
